Irene's parents died of AIDS. She is from Mbale, Eastern Uganda, and was brought to Nyenga by a relative. Because of old age that poor grandmother could not meet the child's demands. Irene was handed over to the authorities who handed her over to Rev. Isaac Wagaba. Irene likes singing and would like to be a Nurse when she grows up. She loves music and she’s a well-behaved and cooperative girl. In 2010, she graduated from Canaan and was given an opportunity to stay with her relatives.
